Street photography, raw street scenes, point and shoot, mostly black and white, people and things. Demonstrations, incidents tragic or happy. Posing is not for me, poor focus is a possibility.
I was laughing to myself watching this gentleman in Paris doing his paint job on the cross-walk. Our tour bus was held up about l5 minutes because of his dedication to duty and the police finally had to be called to get traffic moving again.Life goes on in Paris.
It's not at all weird, Don! These kinds of photos give us a glimpse in the normal, day-to-day lives of the people that live and work in the places that others visit as tourists. And tourists either don't see or notice what the locals are doing.
I'm amazed the French drivers didn't deafen the world with their horns! They are not known as the most patient drivers in the world.
Trust you to come across a scene unlike any other we ever see. I don't know how you always manage to be in the right place at the right time like this.
I used to be a P.I., so my camera work came to me with no problem. I photograph people and things mostly street situations.I am all over the map with my photos.Things that are old in appearance with some history attached would be something that I would stop for and photograph.

I took hundreds of pix of the usual sites in Paris but its this type of photo that I like to focus on. Is that weird or what ?
