I took these photographs around the court house at the beginning of this case.
The jury is being chosen for the PICKTON murder trial. Alleged that PICKTON is responsible for the deaths of 26 east side women (mostly believed to be in the sex trade and addicted to drugs). The trial is expected to last for one year during which time l2 jury members will be required to attend this trial. The eyes of the world are focused on this sad case. It's so sad. We have an apparent new serial killer of prostitutes - five in a week. I wonder if your case has made someone give it a try over here.

Our news has been following the Pickton case as well. He's Vancouver's version of "Green River Killer" Gary Ridgeway who also stalked & killed 49 women in the sex trade.
thanks Jo Jo, at least your guy had the decentcy to plead guilty. This guy is going to cost millions by pleading not guilt, which is his right of course. DonW
Yikes, so awful. Hard to comprehend 26 women killed. seems that people are so fascinated with these cases ... so many pop movies and books about serial killers. the photos show that sense of fascination that people have.
There is some disgust over here that all the time they just say that these are dead prostitutes, instead of just dead women, as if it makes a difference if they are labelled in this way, everyone else is safe, and maybe they in some way asked for it.
