Street photography, raw street scenes, point and shoot, mostly black and white, people and things. Demonstrations, incidents tragic or happy. Posing is not for me, poor focus is a possibility.

WHILE DRIVING PAST ST. PAULS HOSPITAL IN VANCOUVER (A VERY OLD HOSPITAL) I NOTICED AN OLD STYLE IRON FENCE NEAR THE BACK OF THE HOSPITAL. I COULDN'T PASS IT BY WIHTOUT STOPPING TO TAKE A PICTURE OF THIS STRUCTURE WHICH SEEMED MUCH OLDER THAN ME.
Metal collectors are taking anything they can find metal as the prices are away up for anything metal especially copper. Street people have been known to cut pieces of metal fences, etc., away for selling. Even some plaques from graves and memorial sites.I hope the fence I saw has been overlooked by these thugs. Cheers DonW
People down here in WA are stealing metal objects as well, including small statues. And the people that buy the alleged "scrap metal" are as guilty as the people who steal them.
I used to take pictures like this all the time. I will dig them out (they are photo graphs on paper - hence I don't know where they are :) and post them to show you. Happy shooting Don - Best - Lisa PS. Thanks for your recent comment on my pics. I posted a response in my blog
I used to be a P.I., so my camera work came to me with no problem. I photograph people and things mostly street situations.I am all over the map with my photos.Things that are old in appearance with some history attached would be something that I would stop for and photograph.
