I TOOK THESE PHOTOS IN HEAVY RAIN WONDERING AMONG BIG TIME PRESS PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER. I WAS ABLE TO KEEP MY CAMERA DRY THANKS TO MY EVER HANDY ZIP- LOCK BAG. THE EVIDENCE NOW BEING RELEASED IS VERY TROUBLING.

I was inspired to take some photos of very old gravestones in a Vancouver cemetery after reading an article and seeing photos of gravestones taken by Andre Gallant at a Savannah Georgia cemetery and submitted to Photo-life magazine. What he said pretty well sums it up for me.
"SOME PHOTOGRAPHERS THINK THAT CEMETERIES ARE AN ODD PLACE IN WHICH TO PHOTOGRAPH, BUT I FIND THEIR TRANQUIL BEAUTY INSPIRING. WHETHER PHOTOGRAPHING AGING GRAVESTONES THAT PAY HOMAGE TO THE DEAD, TREES CASTING SHADOWS ---- I OFTEN LOSE MYSELF FOR HOURS, WANDERING ABOUT WITH MY CAMERA.

DRIVE-BY SHOOTING (by camera) DOWN AND OUT "No Second Chance"

I took these photographs around the court house at the beginning of this case.
The jury is being chosen for the PICKTON murder trial. Alleged that PICKTON is responsible for the deaths of 26 east side women (mostly believed to be in the sex trade and addicted to drugs). The trial is expected to last for one year during which time l2 jury members will be required to attend this trial. The eyes of the world are focused on this sad case. My caption dedicated to these ladies would be

WHILE DRIVING PAST ST. PAULS HOSPITAL IN VANCOUVER (A VERY OLD HOSPITAL) I NOTICED AN OLD STYLE IRON FENCE NEAR THE BACK OF THE HOSPITAL. I COULDN'T PASS IT BY WIHTOUT STOPPING TO TAKE A PICTURE OF THIS STRUCTURE WHICH SEEMED MUCH OLDER THAN ME.
